Championing the fashion landscape with another preview to its forthcoming collection, Faith Connexion, rumored to be helmed by ex-Balmain Creative Director Christophe Decarnin, offers a look at its 2017 spring ready-to-wear line. Fronting the season’s subversive designs is rapper Vic Mensa, Awful Records’s Tommy Genesis and DJ Sita Abellán. An array of frayed rock ‘n’ roll garbs are prevalent as blazers are cut at the sleeves and skinny jeans are paired with well-fitted double breasted biker jackets. The influence from past subcultures run rampant as seen in the design of print-heavy trousers and platform boots in ode to the audacious Glam Rock years, while torn military jackets and the use of cheetah print draws from punk’s heyday. Elsewhere, French graffiti artist Pisco Logik and Vincent Dacquin offer unique strokes on hand-painted jackets, while Korean style icon Bajowoo of 99%IS gives the Pefectos a distress treatment. The audacious collection is rounded up with optimism, as cape and hooded coats are constructed with flags from different countries. Check out the collection above and stay tuned for its release next year.
