Yasiin Bey, aka Mos Def, has announced his retirement from show business via a message on Kanye West’s website. The artist, who is currently being held in South Africa after SA authorities found issue with his World Passport, expressed his annoyance at his current situation through a freestyle titled “No More Parties In SA.” At the end of the phone message, Bey announces his retirement from performing and promises one final album at the end of 2016.
