A 17th century horror film from a promising young director.
Director Robert Eggers sheds light on a different type of horror in the upcoming film, The Witch. The 17th century-based film recaps the days of witchcraft, possession and black magic as a Puritan family begins to fall apart as a result of their missing son. The horror continues as the family’s daughter is accused of witchcraft and further treated as an outcast. Check out the trailer above for more and expect the film’s stateside debut on February 19.
