A return to earthier tones in Firenze.
Earth tones dominated the showing of the fashion crowd on the second day of Florence’s Pitti Uomo. Whether it was a patchwork hunting jacket in shades of woodland camo, a cotton tie in burnt sienna, khaki overalls paired with a shearling and corduroy jacket, or a Carhartt letterman jacket, a return to the more grounded elements was clear for all to see, what with the warmest winter in a long time. Other notable trends were the dominance of attention-grabbing sukajan embroidered flight jackets, and the pairing of sportswear and luxury items — a textured lambswool trench coat layered over a blue camo Nike Tech Fleece ensemble was the best example of this.
