Michael Bay to Direct 'Transformers 5'
Bay and the Autobots, one last time.
The king of the overzealous on-screen explosion, Michael Bay, will return to the Transformers franchise to direct the fifth installment of the box-office smash series. Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine Bay confirmed “The movie industry has really changed. The middle-[budget] movie is basically gone. They just want these big movies. Transformers, I still have a great time. It’s fun to do a movie that 100 million people will see.” The prolific Director did however confirm that the forthcoming movie, which Mark Wahlberg has already signed up to, will be his last foray into the world of the Autobots. “This is the last one” added the 50-year-old, “I have to pass the reins to someone else.”
