From One Great to Another: Jerry West Pays Tribute to Kobe Bryant

As Kobe Bryant’s farewell tour approaches its halfway point with the NBA All-Star game around the corner, the Black Mamba’s last trip to Oracle Area was certainly a special one. As the Lakers traveled to take on the reigning champion Golden State Warriors, Bryant received a special message from an NBA legend, the logo himself, Jerry West. Recapping their relationship in a special video, West set the tone for Bryant’s entrance as he bid farewell to the Golden State Warrior fans. Bryant finished the game with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assist in 27 minutes as the Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Warriors, 116-98.
