Last year, Toronto delivered a good number of new artists and while a handful of them are talented, not all had what it took to rise up to the next level. Kentucky artist Bryson Tiller also single-handedly took the “6” sound and made it completely his own with the impressive Trapsoul record (no shade thrown at the city). However, it now looks like a worthy contender named TRIPSIXX is about to reclaim the sound of the Dot, with Drake and PartyNextDoor being pretty inactive at this moment. Although he released a few songs back in 2014 and 2015, you might be seeing his name a lot more this year with the release of “Savage Sh*t” and his EP We Own The Night.
