A-COLD-WALL* 2015 Fall/Winter "ZERO HOURS" Lookbook
Samuel Ross takes cues from the British factory dynamic for his label’s latest evolution.

Fresh off the release of its seasonal editorial by EHEBLY, fledgling British label A-COLD-WALL* — helmed by Virgil Abloh’s former righthand man, Samuel Ross — offers up a closer look at its brand new range for Fall/Winter 2015. Dubbed “ZERO HOURS,” the collection “delves into multiple notions related to and focusing on displaced cues of the British factory dynamic” and takes fragmented, displaced graphics and stamps them across a mixture of obscure workwear silhouettes like utilitarian aprons and heavy duty ponchos — each of which highlights Ross’s experimental viewpoint on streetwear. Hand-dyed garments are once again a highlight of the collection while a subdued color palette of grey, white and off-white — like the label’s Spring/Summer 2015 release, dominates the range. Given the new season, however, there’s an expansion of different textures across the collection as the likes of cashmere and vinyl are employed throughout. Ross’s experimental aesthetic even takes a new step this fall with addition of hand-painted, smeared garments and oil-stained tees — inclusions intended to highlight and question the intimate processes of production that introduce a garment that can age uniquely.
