Miley Cyrus Unveils Jeremy Scott's Redesigned MTV VMA Moonman

Jeremy Scott customized the Moonman for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.

MTV’s iconic Moonman has received a radical makeover courtesy of designer Jeremy Scott. Unveiled today by none other than 2015 MTV VMAs host Miley Cyrus ahead of this month’s show, the new take on the silver statue — MTV’s mascot since its inception — sees everything from TV color bars and a peace sign necklace to winged sneakers of Scott’s own design. Designed exclusively for this year’s show, the new Moonman marks the second time MTV has transformed the figure — KAWS created a Companion-inspired piece back in 2013.

The 2015 MTV VMAs are set to air August 30.
