Apple Music Reportedly Has More Than 11 Million Subscribers
Watch out Spotify.
In an increasingly competitive music streaming market, it wasn’t really clear how much success Apple was going to have going against Spotify, who boasts a catalog of 20 million songs and 60 million users across 60+ countries. However it quickly became clear that the Cupertino giant was ready to go all in with its latest venture, by recruiting a host of eclectic personalities that would appeal to a wide range of audiences, while also bringing in industry experts like Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre through the acquisition of Beats Music. According to a recent report on USA TODAY the streaming service already has more than 11 million subscribers in just a little over a month since its launch, though it remains to be seen whether the users will start paying for the service once the three-month trial period comes to an end. For the sake of comparison, Spotify revealed in June that it had 20 million subscribers. Will Apple Music eventually overtake Spotify? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
