A Closer Look at the New Balance M577 "Napes"
A closer look at one of the homages to the rocky pinnacle of the English Lake District.

For its latest English-made 577, New Balance has paid homage to the rocky pinnacle of the English Lake District in Cumbria. Dubbed “Napes,” the outdoorsy take on the running classic takes its name from the Napes Needle and adopts a bold look inspired by that of prototypical climbing equipment, pairing a multicolored upper of suede and ripstop nylon with special tongue branding and even “NY210100” embroidery — the OS grid reference for the rocky crag — along the lateral side of the heel panel. Look for this combination of purple, orange and green alongside an additional “Napes” colorway now at New Balance stockists like Hanon.
