Nike Hyperdunk 2015 Low "Beijing"
A dynamic red, teal and gold sneaker that takes inspiration from the Chinese capital.
Nike‘s brand new Hyperdunk 2015 sneaker conceived by Nike Basketball Footwear Design Director, Leo Chang, is reiterated as a city-inspired low-top silhouette with this ”Beijing” offering. The rendition takes inspiration from the Chinese capital with its colorway and is one of two low-tops offered in the new 2015 “City” pack along with “Rio de Janeiro.” The model continues to incorporate innovative Flywire, Hyperfuse and Zoom Air technology, and is constructed with a seamless one-piece upper that holds a bold geometric print in bright teal, blue and red. It also features a black and speckled gray Phylon midsole, herringbone-patterned outsole, internal mesh and foam bootie, black tongue, flexible black heel collar, red laces, and metallic gold accents found throughout the eyestay and Swoosh logo. Chinese characters of Beijing-specific slang adorning the sneaker’s tongue roughly translates to “anyone is welcome to play ball,” while the heel counter is embroidered with the Chinese symbol for “capital.” The Nike Hyperdunk 2015 Low Limited “Beijing” will be hitting U.S. retailers this month for $140 USD.
