For all the riffraff surrounding the competing music streaming platforms over each one’s supposedly superior audio quality, are any of them actually perceivable in their difference? The Verge sought to put this to the test by giving several subjects — ranging from casual listeners to proud audiophiles — three tracks spanning disparate genres to listen to, in an attempt to try and discern which platform offers the best sound quality, between Spotify, Apple Music, and the supposedly lossless quality of TIDAL.
