Having gained a reputation for its selection of carefully crafted footwear, Mr. Hare now presents its debut clothing collection for 2016 spring/summer by way of a motive video composition titled “The People’s Democratic Republic Of The Future !!” Directed by award-winning Gaëlle Denis who has garnered mass recognition for her work, including “City Paradise” which was noted for over 50 awards, Mr. Hare’s latest project relies heavily on her distinct aesthetic charm. Supplemented by an exclusive Spoek Mathambo mix, the video is a choreographed selection of dancers in alternating outfits moving through a variety of backdrops that have been made to represent founder Marc Hare’s travel memories. “The People’s Democratic Republic Of The Future !!” draws a number of notable African influences from its distinct rhythm to each compositions choice of props. The collection itself is both regal and informal with a considered color palette across a selection of tailored trousers, blazers and shirting options all referencing traditional Ghanaian casual wear.
