GENER8ION featuring M.I.A. "The New International Sound Pt. II" Music Video
Calling on the help of an astonishing 36,000 students from China’s largest fighting school for kids.
English recording artist Mathangi Arulpragasam better known for her stage name M.I.A. has released a new visual installation in collaboration with award-winning director Inigo Westmeier. Created with French producer GENER8ION, the track and its accompanying visual follows the distinct direction for which we have come to know M.I.A. for since her rise to prominence following the release of tracks such as “Paper Planes” and “Bad Girls.” The complete production was shot on location at China’s largest fighting school for children – Shaolin Tagou. Cinematically showcasing the combative and highly synchronized skills of the school’s 36,000 students, the video focuses on the demanding daily lives of each pupil and supports the song’s lyrical content. Despite remaining completely anonymous throughout the clip, M.I.A.’s creative influence and oversight is wholly obvious. “The New International Sound Pt. II” is now available to purchase directly from GENER8ION’s iTunes page.
