Rapper and producer Travi$ Scott recently paid a visit to the LA Leakers radio show to talk about a variety of subjects — from how he used to hustle to get meetings in the music business, his Texas upbringing and his upcoming album Rodeo. He also reveals that T.I. was the first big artist he met and worked with, before his high profile working relationship with Kanye West began. Scott has been working with Kanye on his much-anticipated SWISH album, and had the following to say about it:
“His album is amazing and he’s on his producing shit, and he’s on his god-level rapping shit. It’s like that Kanye everybody wants; it’s like some ultimate shit. Every time I go to the studio it’s just something next level; I’m excited. It’s way beyond what people are thinking. Don’t think that you’re hearing “All Day” and that’s the vibe of the album. Nah man, it’s like some other next level he’s got going.”
SWISH, which was formerly known as So Help Me God, has been the subject of rampant rumours surrounding delays and Kanye’s notorious perfectionism. There’s still no official word about when the album might drop. Travi$ Scott’s new album, however, will be out before August.
