'The Martian' Official Trailer Starring Matt Damon

After dropping a teaser trailer just yesterday, here we find the official trailer for Ridley Scott’s forthcoming space rescue epic: The Martian. The trailer follows up the viral walkthrough from earlier by outlining the scope of Astronaut Mark Whatney’s doomed trip to Mars. After being presumed dead and left during an emergency evacuation of the red planet, Whatney is perilously left to fend alone and subsist on limited supplies. After he cleverly pieces together a message back to Earth, Whatney’s tight-knit crew of friends must decide whether to venture back – all 140 million miles – and save him under the microscope of the media.
