Watch Slam Jam & Vans' Playful Collaboration Video

To celebrate Slam Jam‘s 25th year anniversary, the Italian retailer and now recognized creative agency has teamed up with Vans to offer their interpretation on 3 classic silhouettes – the Vans Classic Slip-On, Sk8-Hi and Old Skool. With all models bearing reference to the collaboration’s saturated color palette, each shoe has applied the relevant detailing to varying aspects within its respective design. The Vans Classic Slip-On is presented with a multi-colored, lineal canvas upper in an array of reds and blues, the Sk8-Hi remains a monochromatic combination of subdued greys rendered with a bright pink lining while the Vans Old Skool features rainbow-like banding running around the model’s midsole before cutting off towards the toe cap. Each vulcanized pair comes rendered with a multicolored waffle sole designed to graphically represent the shape of the underfoot in a style reminiscent to basic heat map diagrams. The Slam Jam x Vans capsule collection will be available online at Slam Jam Socialism and selected Vans retailers from June 11 with a special in-store event at Slam Jam Milano on the same day.
