Nike SB Dunk High Premium "Familia"
It’s La Familia, sans the Roc.
Nike Skateboarding has linked back up with Minneapolis’s own Familia skate shop to produce the next entry in the Nike SB Dunk sneaker line. The themed execution of the high top model draws inspiration from childhood lumberjack character Paul Bunyan and Babe his blue ox. A blue body features an embossed, synthetic leather upper that represents the swirling appearance of Babe’s hide, coupled with suede blue paneling, atop an equally tinted midsole and bottom sole. Nike SB x Familia have designed a colored, custom embroidered emblem, featuring an ox head and two crossing axes, which rests at the heel of the sneaker. Nike’s striking Swoosh has been outdone to appear as a yellow ox horn, further playing into the theme. The skate shoe is then finished with black and red flannel inner lining that matches Paul’s signature look, and a graphic foot insert.
