The high fashion sportswear line is inspired by a series of rapid paintings by Yamamoto himself.
Unveiled at the Lycée Carnot for Paris Fashion Week, Yohji Yamamoto was inspired by the human body in motion for his collaborative brand with adidas. The longstanding coalition has resulted in stellar high fashion sportswear pieces that have made the brand highly coveted. Returning to graphic simplicity, Yamamoto had created several rapid sketches on which he based the collection. These motion sketches resulted in a line of clothing tied by its fluidity, with stunning ponchos the highlight of the show. Footwear is always a highlight at Y-3, and this show undeniably showcases a few more sneakers you’ll want to add to your closet.
