'Mass Effect: Andromeda' Official Announcement Trailer
An all-new galaxy and cast of characters will accompany the next instalment in the ‘Mass Effect’ franchise.
BioWare has announced the follow-up to Mass Effect trilogy with Mass Effect: Andromeda at the EA conference at E3 2013. While details on characters and the plot are scant in this initial trailer, BioWare seems keen in promoting the exploration feature of this next instalment, with the depicted character swiping between different worlds on a hologram screen before launching into a heated battle on a distant alien canyon. Via an accompanying blog post, the game developers also revealed that the plot will not be directly related to the events of the original trilogy, with the new game taking place in an altogether new galaxy, Andromeda, with a new cast of characters and a new and improved Mako to pilot. Powered by the Frostbite engine, Mass Effect: Andromeda is due to be released in the holiday season of 2016.
