Nike Treadmill Experience Immerses the Runner in Sensory Enriching Journey

Nike has collaborated with FIELD, a London-based creative studio to re-imagine the future of running on a treadmill. With an immersive interactive exhibition currently held at London’s Truman Brewery, “Force of Nature” incorporates stunning visuals to a runner. Using Kinect Interaction, a series of applications that aggregate gesture-based activity, the treadmill reacts to the user’s movements that translates into a display on a screen in front. Created for the Nike Innovation Summit 2015, the experience sees the runner fully enveloped into stunning visual effects, making the experience more sensory-enriched. By incorporating technology, this may be the future of treadmill running to entice runners to go farther.
