'Mad Max: Fury Road' Director Takes to Twitter to Confirm More Sequels

With $109.5 million USD grossed within the first few days of release and Tom Hardy already showing an interest in reviving his role, it’s no surprise that George Miller, director of Mad Max: Fury Road, has this week expressed his intention to extend the series beyond the fourth installment. Taking to Twitter, Miller, who has directed all of the previous Mad Max incarnations, said “Hello Twitter! Thanks for all the kind words written and said about the film. We had a lot of fun making it..and there’s more Max to come.” The film is set to be entitled Mad Max: The Wasteland and if the 98% positive reviews received on RottenTomatoes.com are anything to go by, Village Roadshow Pictures will be keen to get it into production sooner rather than later.
