With the caption “Nevermind who you thought I was…,” the producer has titled this offering “I’m Rick James, B*tch…” This phrase, is of course a Dave Chapelle classic; but what brings it into the realms of intelligent banter, as opposed to irritating repetition, is the chopping-style that Lakim has delivered. As you may have guessed, LAKIM’s latest offering is a remix of Rick James’ “Super Freak”, and it’s as magical as it sounds. Our only disappointment here is that that track is just over 1:30 long, and thats’ not enough for us. With gossip suggesting that an extended version may be released, with a possible added feature, we’re on the edge of our seat.
