Essentials: DJ Tukutz of Epik High

For our second installment of Essentials with South Korean hip-hop group Epik High, we focus on member DJ Tukutz. The multifaceted artist first developed his passion for electronic music through a discovery of the underground party scene, eventually leading him to enroll at the Technics DJ school in South Korea. He soon linked up with Tablo to form Epik High in 2003. In the picture above, DJ Tukutz shares his Essentials with us, which consists primarily of travel necessities for the touring artist. Electronics such as an iPad and a MacBook doubles as both entertainment and a production tool. Moreover, the musician’s affinities for fashion are emphasized with his Saint Laurent Paris wallet and duffle bag, as well as his Supreme/Hanes T-shirts. While the globetrotter sees the world, he never forgets his family back home, as shown by his passport with various boarding passes, placed beside two toy cars bought for his son.
