As our everyday vernacular evolves with the use of abbreviations, Internet slang and whatnot, so too does the English language. Merriam-Webster recently added a total of 1,700 words to the dictionary in response to our generation’s use of vocabulary. Funny words like “meme,” “WTF,” “photobomb,” “jegging,” “emoji,” “clickbait” and “NSFW” are included, as well as more modern terms like “net neutrality,” “dark money” and “click fraud.” Explore more of the official new additions over at Merriam-Webster Unabridged.
