In the latest wave of competitive reality TV, Lip Sync Battle has been offering a healthy combo of laughs and second-hand embarrassment. During Thursday’s episode Mike Tyson squared up with Brooklyn Nine-Nine star, Terry Crews. These two could possibly be in the same weight class but they are most definitely in a lip-syncing class all their own.

In round one Mike Tyson wore a tan polyester pants and a turtleneck so tight that while he danced quite literally, danced as if no one was watching, it was hard not to look away like a train wreck or bad porn. He fully embodied Mick Jagger’s stage swag, in a body the size of about four Mick Jaggers.

Terry Crew’s countered with old school hip-hop classic, Run-DMC’s “Sucker M.C.’s.” Crews’ performance was very DMC-like with subtle boyband-esque choreography. He delivered another, exciting and confusing performance.

In round two, the fellas really, really came out to win. When the lights raise, Crews is in all white at a piano, performing a jarring rendition of Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles,” complete with a team of interpretive dancers only to have Iron Mike take a wildly different approach. Tyson stepped out like he may have actually been rejected as the fourth member of Salt-N-Pepa, nonetheless he absolutely put everything into his performance of “Push It.”

Honestly, the biggest challenge was left up to the crowd and although both men truly put their heart and soul into these performances, Crews took down the champ in an epic battle of muscle-bound men dancing awkwardly.
