In one of the more unlikely collaborative endeavors in recent memory, famed designer Yohji Yamamoto is set to team up with Hello Kitty‘s parent company Sanrio to launch a brand new label. Dubbed “Kitty’s,” the relationship will see Yamamoto and his team in charge of development, production, and branding while Sanrio will handle the retail side of things, as well as character approval for the line. At launch, Kitty’s is expected to feature everything from tees, polos, sweatshirts, and jackets to backpacks, bags, cases and caps — all of which will come emblazoned with characters like Hello Kitty and My Melody and retail for between ¥8,800 JPY (approximately $81 USD) and ¥40,000 JPY (approximately $330 USD).
The collaborative Kitty’s will debut March 25 at Isetan in Tokyo’s Shinjuku district before hitting Osaka on April 2.
