'Southpaw' Official Trailer Starring Jake Gyllenhaal

When at the top of a mountain, in many ways, the only way to go is down. Such is the tale of the upcoming Southpaw, which tells the story of one Billy “The Great” Hope, a former middleweight boxing champion that loses his wife, home and wealth in a tragic accident. Hope is here played by Jake Gyllenhaal, who is supported by a rather impressive cast that includes Forest Whittaker, Rachel McAdams, and even 50 Cent. Word is that Eminem was originally approached for the leading role, but it seems as if his involvement is now chiefly in the soundtrack. Directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by Kurt Sutter, Southpaw hits theaters July 31.
