Jaguar‘s second generation 2016 XF sedan is making its debut soon, and although only slightly different in dimensions from last year’s model, the car boasts a 75% aluminum body, lowering the overall weight of the vehicle by 132 pounds on the rear-drive model, and 265 pounds on the all-wheel drive model. The advanced structure results in increased torsional stiffness, with better acceleration, braking and fuel economy. The design includes a wider and thinner grille, slimmer headlights with small design updates inspired by the upcoming XE. Details on the powertrain have yet to be released, however, both 340 hp and 380 hp versions of Jaguar Land Rover’s 3.0-liter supercharged V6 will be offered, along with a standard eight-speed automatic transmission. Check out the photos above, and expect its official debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show next week.
