Young Fathers - Rain Or Shine
Mercury Prize-winning trio Young Fathers have announced a new album entitled White Men Are Black
Mercury Prize-winning trio Young Fathers have announced a new album entitled White Men Are Black Men Too, and have shared the LP’s first single. “Rain Or Shine” is our first taste of what’s to come with the follow-up to their highly-acclaimed 2014 effort DEAD, the album that originally earned Young Fathers their Mercury Prize nod. The UK-based act’s new LP is said to have been recorded as the group toured their way through 2014, though the finishing touches put on White Men Are Black Men Too were done at their Edinburgh studio. Young Fathers describe their new song interestingly, putting The Monks, Can, Commodores, The Last Poet, “paranoid prophets” and “post-apocalyptic deserts” all under one roof as they describe their new album’s first single. Their description of “Rain Or Shine” commands attention, to say the least. Young Fathers have also coupled today’s unveilings with a new tour, the itinerary of which you can run through below. You can listen to “Rain Or Shine” above. White Men Are Black Men Too will hit shelves on April 7 via Big Dada.
