visvim‘s 2015 fall/winter collection takes influences from multiple cultures, inspired by Hiroki Nakamura‘s travels around the world. The range includes casual menswear silhouettes like collared pea coats, draping kimono capes, chambray shirts and bomber jackets which take cues from Japanese work attire. The heavy bonded wool topcoat is not unlike a contemporary take on the traditional morning coat. A variety of textures are prevalent throughout the collection, such as the Sherpa-styled jackets, knitted sweaters and denim fabrics. Bold patterns include hand-painted polka dot, bandana and Navajo prints. The collection aligns with the brand’s customary homage to blending Japanese heritage with Americana.
