With virtual reality beginning to reach its potential, images of Nike‘s latest patent show a very promising upgrade to the brand’s fan-favorite customization program, NIKEiD. Offering a more interactive experience, users will don a pair of virtual reality goggles to then customize a blank sneaker with their choice of prints, patterns, designs and colors. Each customization will appear on the sneaker right before your eyes. We should note however, the patent images don’t specify if it’s intended to be an in-house advancement for Nike designers or whether it will arrive in stores for consumers to use, so stay tuned for any updates.
