The team behind The Akira Project, an exceptional fan film dedicated to cult Japanese ’80s movie Akira, has revealed their latest science fiction film, Temple. In the year 2045 A.D., humans are dying from a new genetic disease that cause them to reject their own organs. Society is controlled by cybernetically-enhanced beings, and the story follows one man who steals their cybernetic implants in order to survive. The short film is an ambitious cyberpunk thriller project brought to life by brilliant fight scenes and 4K footage that stars Canadian actor Osric Chau (Supernatural) and features themes of plague and disease, martial arts and artificial intelligence in a dystopian future.
