Sneaker Politics x Saucony Courageous "The Jackson"
This latest collaboration pays homage to General Andrew Jackson.

After unveiling the teaser for Sneaker Politics’ second collaboration with Saucony on its Courageous silhouette, here’s the full look at the shoe. Following the release of “The Cannon” edition, this iteration pays homage to General Andrew Jackson who led the troops. According to Sneaker Politics,
American troops led by General Andrew Jackson came from far and wide to help battle the British troops, but many believe it was the pirate Jean Lafitte whose involvement helped turn the tide of the war. Lafitte made a deal with Jackson for him and his men to fight alongside the Americans in exchange for pardons. After the war Jackson praised Lafitte and his men for “exhibiting the same courage and fidelity” as his troops.
The shoe’s color palette is inspired by Jackson’s uniform, with a navy and cream velvet suede accented with gold. Its tongue features perforated leather, and the heels boast a flag sewn in. Bright red colors the outsole, a hue representative of the blood of the war. Head over to Sneaker Politics to cop a pair on November 13 for $125 USD.
