'Empire' x Hood By Air 2015 Official Merchandise

Shayne Oliver of Hood By Air is a big Cookie Lyons fan. Played by Academy Award-nominated actress, Taraji P. Henson, the Empire character is such an inspiration to Oliver that her voice was used during the brand’s 2015 fall presentation earlier this year. We can only imagine the designer’s excitement when he was approached to develop the first line of official merchandise for the award-winning television series. As reported by Vogue, “the capsule is something of a companion to HBA’s Classics line, but everything has been Empire-icized, with the faces of Cookie and her sons Hakeem and Jamal splashed across HBA’s coveted hoodies and graphic T-shirts.” The offering even includes a champagne flute and a keychain rendered in the likeness of the iconic pillow that Cookie attempted to murder Lucious with.
