Sneaker Politics and Saucony take inspiration from one of the last chapters of the War of 1812 for its sneaker collaboration. The Battle of New Orleans between the Americans and British featured a massive cannon — a key part of the defense against the Brits. Still on display in Louisiana today, the artillery takes center stage in this two-part collaboration, starting with Saucony’s Courageous style. Featuring a light blue turquoise upper comprised of suede, gold accents offer contrast while the crisp white sole balances the style. Its tongue features a gold image of the celebrated cannon. The shoes drop on October 30 at Sneaker Politics in-stores and online. Keep your eyes peeled for part two of the collaboration to be unveiled in November
