Exploring Yonkers With Jadakiss
A glimpse of the D-Block neighborhood.
Yonkers, New York has a rich history that’s given rise to a prominent multicultural community among inner streets and corner bodegas where the likes of Styles P, Sheek Louch, DMX and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler spent their childhoods before helping put the inner suburb on the global map. The LOX and Ruff Ryders compatriot Jadakiss recently walked Complex through his neighborhood, highlighting key locations from his life such as his old home and elementary school from when he was known as Jason Phillips. Check out the tour in the video above.
And what is The LOX up to these days? Sheek Louch and Jadakiss recently dropped a new track with A$AP Ferg (with Donnie G set to drop his anticipated album Silverback Gorilla 2 on December 4), while Jada and Styles P have opened up a chain of fresh juice spots called Juices For Life around the Bronx and Yonkers areas. Jadakiss’ new album Top 5 Dead or Alive also releases November 20, and is now available for pre-order online for $9 USD.
