Essentials: Anderson .Paak

Ever since his prominent appearances on Dr. Dre’s comeback album Compton: The Soundtrack, Anderson .Paak has been busy doing big things like creating his own TV show as well as touring all around the world. As a result, traveling has been taking up a huge part of his current life and for this week’s installment of the series, we take a look into some of his Essentials. Before Anderson was a musician and rapper, he was a trained drummer — hence, he always carries a pair of drum sticks with him. He owns a pair of Cutler & Gross sunglasses, a Louis Vuitton wallet that his had wife gifted him with, a beaded necklace made by west Africa’s Yoruba people, and a silver wolf wedding ring. As a lyricist, .Paak makes sure that his vocabulary game always stays polished with his book of poetry. He also makes sure something else stays polished — his golden Fleshlight, affectionately named Felisha, holds him down when he’s on the road. He carries everything — sometimes including Felisha — in his vintage suitcase, which he guesses was made from the 1940s.
