1959 BMW 507 Roadster Series II Is Expected to Auction for $2.6 Million USD
Only 217 were ever made.
This beautiful 1959 BMW 507 Roadster Series II has been predicted to fetch between $2.3 million USD and $2.6 million USD at the forthcoming “Design by Disruption” auction in New York. Only 217 of this classic convertible were produced, making it one of the rarest BMW’s on the planet and while its rival, the Mercedes 300 SL, has received a lot of the shine over the years, the 507 is arguably one of Germany’s finest automobile exports of all time. Serving as the inspiration for the Z8, the 507 Roadster Series II is powered by a 145 bhp V8 engine, and features a smooth four-speed manual transmission along with an independent front suspension, rear brakes and a striking red interior.
