Overkill x adidas Consortium EQT Racing '93 "Taxi"
A nod to Berlin’s iconic Taxis.
After teasing us with a preview just yesterday, Berlin-based sneaker boutique Overkill has officially unveiled its forthcoming collaboration with adidas‘s Consortium line. Utilizing the classic EQT Racing ‘93 runner as a base, this limited edition sneaker draws inspiration from the distinct coloration of Germany’s taxis, featuring a beige nylon upper with tonal suede details, supportive nylon overlays rendered in black and reflective material, and a yellow tab placed at the tongue, an homage to the iconic “Taxi” sign. A series of co-branded details throughout rounds out the design of the upper, which sits atop of a speckled grey midsole. The Overkill x adidas Consortium EQT Racing ‘93 “Taxi” is scheduled for an October 31 in-store release, and will come in a bespoke aluminum box, with a car air freshener, key ring and sticker pack. Select adidas Consortium retailers will also be releasing the sneakers on November 6.
