The North Face‘s renowned high performance line is rebooted with modern updates for this fall/winter season. The Summit Series, which first launched in 2000, is singled out for its high quality performance gear meant for extreme conditions. Designed with mountain climbers and alpinists in mind, the newly revamped collection is the result of two years of development and features atypical designs. This season the range of apparel incorporates FuseForm, DRYVENT and ThermoBall proprietary technology along with moisture wicking and warmth maintenance fabrics. Each Summit Series garment is numbered with one of six layers — L1 through L6 — which indicate the order they should be worn on your body. Key items in the offering include the cozy 800-fill RDS down L6 Jacket and the Summit L5 Shell and Pant combo.
