Our culture is very much centered around a love of sneakers, but a young man featured on MTV’s True Life: My Fetish Is Ruining My Life just took the meaning of sneakerhead to a whole new level. The man, named RJ, has for much of his life had a sexual attraction to sneakers, and feels sexually aroused when engaged in the act of licking them. “I have a fetish. I can’t help it,” says RJ. ”I’ve had it since I can remember. It’s never going to change. I like what I like. Do I just lie about it and hope that they’re OK with it later? Do I tell them up front and they get scared away?
