Dumbfoundead & Chef Roy Choi Reinterpret the Traditional Korean Pancake
“I can hear the voice of my ancestors whispering. They’re saying, ‘I’m proud of you.’”
Korean-American rapper Dumbfoundead makes a culinary trip to L.A.’s Koreatown, accompanied by First We Feast, to put his own spin on the classic Korean pajeon pancake with POT head chef Roy Choi. Rapping on the fly while Choi assembles the ingredients, the duo transforms the mix of beer-braised pork, kimchi, and vegetables, into a delectable disc of crispy goodness. The result is the proudly named “Off The Dough” pancake, available only for the month of October at POT for $13 USD. Watch the video above and make your way to Koreatown to sample the time-limited dish.
