In the official trailer for the latest comedy from director Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre) we follow the story of Don Verdean, a self-proclaimed Biblical archaeologist played by Sam Rockwell. Featuring Hess’ trademark sense of humor that is painfully awkward at times (but hilarious nonetheless), the film documents Verdean and his team of misfits as they recover religious artifacts in the Holy Land for an ambitious small-town pastor. The roster features an impressive cast of today’s funniest people, including Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords), Amy Ryan (The Office), Leslie Bibb (About a Boy) and Will Forte (Saturday Night Live). Don Verdean is set for a US theatrical release on December 11.
