Coach 2015 Fall Collection
For Coach’s debut men’s ready-to-wear collection, Executive Creative Director Stuart Vevers

For Coach‘s debut men’s ready-to-wear collection, Executive Creative Director Stuart Vevers channels the sensibilities of yesteryear’s “My Own Private Idaho” — the film’s poster hung from Vevers’ bedroom wall growing up — as well as likewise teenage “self-discovery” movies into a range of luxurious yet no-frills pieces. Akin to the style found in said flicks, the collection makes use of shearling and leather for its outerwear — the centerpiece for each look — that ranges in a strong palette of rich purples, greens and browns among other monochromatic pieces, all of which coat varsity jackets, donkey jackets and parkas, as well as homages to the classic Perfecto, M65 and Levi’s Type II jacket. Complimenting the outerwear yet not averting any focus are Vevers’ selection of strictly charcoal pants and jeans, followed by a range of leather boots and furry-tongued sneakers.
