Lifetime has announced their plans for an Aaliyah biopic, and it looks like Zendaya Coleman is set to play the role of Aaliyah Haughton. Tentatively titled Aaliyah: Princess of R&B, the biopic is apparently based on Christopher Farley’s biography on the late songstress, and will be produced by Aaliyah Productions Inc. Coleman, who has a background in both acting as well as the music industry, has taken to Twitter to make the announcement and share her thoughts on the casting.
