Delivering a fashion-forward range without departing from classic menswear etiquette, celebrated fashion designer Casely-Hayford offered a glimpse into his 2015 spring designs at this year’s London Collections: Men. Looking to the enticing images of John Baldessari as reference, the collection builds off a quaint yet stylish sensibility. Olive elongated bomber jackets are presented alongside pinstripe cloaks paired with tapered pants. Chesterfield coats were remade with mixed fabrics, while staples like the button-up shirt and blazer see unique patchwork embellishments. With subtle reference to subcultures of the past — especially the ’70s skinhead movement seen via T-shirts with the letters “S K I N” — Casely-Hayford presents a captivating collection in homage to the label’s British roots.
