A side project which snowballed after Kenny Scharf painted a fan’s car and uploaded it on Instagram with the caption #Karbombz, the latest undertaking sees the pop surrealist icon paint a 2003 Kia Ri belonging to filmmaker Jesse Meeker. As the 85th vehicle to undergo the Karbomb treatment, Meeker takes us to Scharf’s Los Angeles studio where he freehand spray paints the car’s body with his trademark caricatures.
