Have you ever wondered what the inspiration was behind the popular Nike Roshe Run? Sole Collector recently released a video unveiling the true inspiration behind the popular sneaker. Designed by Dylan Raasch, the Roshe went through a series of 16 alterations on the midsole alone before a design was settled upon. The actual inspiration for the sneaker came from a Roshi Zen Master, however for legal purposes Nike had to change the name from “Roshi” to “Roshe.” The soles were designed to “mimic stepping stones found in the garden and the original Iguana colorway draws inspiration form the moss and white rocks found in the garden.” Check out the video detailing the entire history of the Nike Roshe Run.
